Every festival begins with an idea. For the Scottsdale Book Festival, it was a simple one: to create a space where books, stories, and community could come together in Scottsdale.
Founded by an author and illustrator who wanted to share the joy of storytelling with families, educators, and readers of all ages, the festival was built from the ground up with one mission in mind: to inspire a love of reading and bring people together through the power of imagination.
What began as an idea is now a free, family-friendly event in downtown Scottsdale, where authors, publishers, bookstores, and readers connect through panels, workshops, live readings, and kid-friendly activities. At its heart, the festival celebrates stories in all forms and the diverse voices that bring them to life.
Produced by Scottsdale Book Festival LLC, the event is dedicated to championing literacy, creativity, and culture. With over a decade of experience producing large-scale community events in partnership with Scottsdale Arts, the team behind the festival is committed to building something welcoming, inclusive, and lasting for years to come.
