Meet A.D. Uhlar, a treasure hunter of imagination whose stories are as bold and brilliant as the sword she forged herself. What began as a passion for education — earning her Master’s degree and inspiring students to find their creative voices — evolved into a personal quest for storytelling and discovery.
In November 2019, A.D. wrote her first fantasy novel manuscript, igniting a journey that led her to pursue an MFA in Writing. Her curiosity and dedication to authenticity earned her a grant to study blacksmithing, allowing her to forge the very sword featured in her novel — a defining moment that brought her fictional world, The Kingdom of Ethereal, to life.
Today, A.D. continues to weave intricate tales filled with courage, history, and wonder, drawing inspiration from her Slovak heritage, her students, and her four children — all of whom share her boundless creativity. Whether exploring ancient myths or shaping new ones, she writes with heart, purpose, and the spirit of adventure.
✨ Meet A.D. Uhlar at the Scottsdale Book Festival, where passion, imagination, and storytelling unite in every chapter.
