Author Spotlight: Sophie Bernbaum

Heartfelt Stories from a Neurodivergent Creative

Section image

Meet Sophie Bernbaum., a neurodivergent mother of three whose stories are infused with humor, honesty, and the tender chaos of everyday life. When she’s not reading, writing, or wrangling her lively household, you can find her enjoying good food, listening to Taylor Swift, or indulging in a well-earned nap.

Before becoming an author, Sophie lived many creative lives — from elementary school teacher to stand-up comedian — roles that shaped her unique voice and her gift for blending heart with humor. She draws inspiration from literary icons like Judy Blume, her all-time favorite author, as well as contemporary voices including Rachel Lynn Solomon, Jenny Han, Abby Jimenez, Emily Henry, Rainbow Rowell, and Jessica Anya Blau.

With a love for storytelling that’s both relatable and uplifting, Sophie writes for readers who crave sincerity, joy, and characters who feel wonderfully real.
