Erick Maldonado is a retired law enforcement supervisor with nearly three decades of service in patrol, SWAT, K-9, search and rescue, and leadership assignments. Throughout his 29-year career, he served as a K-9 handler, SWAT operator, Patrol Supervisor, Search and Rescue Supervisor, and K-9 Unit Supervisor, gaining firsthand experience in some of the most challenging aspects of policing.

In addition to his law enforcement career, Erick is a nationally recognized instructor who teaches leadership, decision-making, and critical incident management to law enforcement professionals across the country. He is the founder of Command Under Pressure, a training program focused on critical thinking, leadership, and performance under stress.

Erick is the author of Necessary Evil: Echoes of the Badge, an unfiltered account of life behind the badge that explores service, sacrifice, trauma, resilience, and the realities of modern policing.
