Storytelling takes many forms, and Ian Lapham has spent years exploring it from multiple angles. Originally trained as a filmmaker and screenwriter, Ian eventually brought his visual storytelling experience to the world of novels, creating books that blend cinematic pacing with engaging characters and fast-moving plots.
Drawing from his background in film, Ian approaches writing with an eye for dynamic scenes, compelling narratives, and the kind of storytelling that keeps readers turning pages. His creative journey eventually led him beyond writing alone and into publishing, where he sought to create opportunities for authors to maintain greater control over their creative work.
Visitors to Scottsdale Book Festival 2027 will have the opportunity to meet Ian, learn more about his books, and hear how his experiences in filmmaking, screenwriting, and publishing continue to shape his approach to storytelling.
