Some stories are inspired by the world around us. Others invite us to leave that world behind entirely. Rachel Feeck brings both possibilities to the page, writing books that range from real-world adventures inspired by her career as an engineer to fantasy stories created for readers ready to step into somewhere new.
Her children’s book, Joey’s Road Trip, draws inspiration from Rachel’s work as an engineer, bringing curiosity and storytelling together for young readers. Her YA fantasy novel, Gwendolyn, explores another side of her imagination and reflects her lifelong love of fantasy.
That ability to write across different kinds of stories gives Rachel a unique place among authors writing for younger audiences. Whether grounded in real-world experiences or built around the possibilities of fantasy, her books encourage readers to stay curious, embrace imagination, and enjoy the journey wherever a story may lead.
Visitors to Scottsdale Book Festival 2027 will have the opportunity to meet Rachel, discover Joey’s Road Trip and Gwendolyn, and connect with an author whose work bridges curiosity, creativity, and imaginative storytelling.
