Some authors focus on helping readers navigate the real world. Others invite them to imagine entirely new ones. Raya Chisesi has found a place where both approaches come together, writing books that encourage personal growth while also exploring imaginative futures through fiction.
As the author of the nonfiction guide Inside Voice, Raya draws on years of professional experience in sales, communication, and organizational leadership to share practical insights with readers. Writing under the pen name R.C. Marie, she also embraces her creative side through fiction, including the eco-science fiction adventure Destined to Decide, where imagination meets thought-provoking ideas about the future.
Holding degrees in Mass Communications and Organizational Leadership, Raya combines her professional background with a genuine passion for connecting with people through stories, conversations, and lifelong learning. Whether writing nonfiction or fiction, her work reflects a curiosity about people, communication, and the choices that shape our lives.
Visitors to Scottsdale Book Festival 2027 will have the opportunity to meet Raya, discover both her nonfiction and fiction, and connect with an author whose work bridges leadership, creativity, and storytelling.
