Meet David “Dave” Beaty, an award-winning and New York Times best-selling comic book artist whose legendary career spans more than two decades across Marvel, DC Comics, BOOM Studios, and beyond.
Dave’s journey began in 1997 with the groundbreaking 3-D and digitally painted comic series Stargodz and has since evolved into an incredible portfolio of work across some of the biggest titles and universes in comics. His artistry has brought to life characters in X-Men: Sword of the Braddocks, Batman Incorporated, Justice League of America, Brightest Day, Flashpoint: Wonder Woman, Mister Terrific, and iVampire — to name only a few.
In 2014, Dave helped set a Guinness World Record for the fastest time to produce a comic book at Amazing Arizona Comic Con, solidifying his name in comic history. Over the years, he’s collaborated with industry legends such as Stan Lee, Chris Claremont, Geoff Johns, Mark Waid, James Robinson, and Grant Morrison.
Beyond comics, Dave’s creativity extends to award-winning independent films and video games, including contributing to the acclaimed Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (DLC) for Studio MDHR. His work has earned honors at major film festivals, including multiple awards for animation and title design for the short film Routine.
