Something special just happened—and it honestly means a lot.
The Scottsdale Book Festival has been nominated for Best Festival in Arizona by Phoenix Magazine as part of their Best of Phoenix awards. What makes this even more meaningful is that these nominations came directly from the public. People showed up, experienced the festival, and cared enough to put it forward—and that’s something I don’t take lightly.
When the festival first launched, the goal was simple: bring together authors, readers, families, and the community for a day centered around books, storytelling, and connection. To see it recognized like this in its very first year says one thing clearly—this community showed up in a big way.
Alongside the festival nomination, I was also nominated for Best Author, which is incredibly humbling. As someone building stories, characters, and experiences for kids and families, it’s a reminder that the work is connecting—and that means everything.
If you’d like to support both the festival and the work behind it, you can cast your vote here:
Every vote helps bring more visibility to local authors, independent creators, and family-friendly events centered around books and imagination.
This is just the beginning. Plans are already underway for the next Scottsdale Book Festival, with new ideas, more experiences, and even more ways to bring the community together through storytelling. If you’d like to follow along with what’s growing, you can explore more on the site:
Whether you voted, attended, shared the event, or simply supported from afar—thank you. This nomination belongs to everyone who helped bring the Scottsdale Book Festival to life.
