Meet Heather P. Ricciardi, a social entrepreneur, educator, and lifelong learner dedicated to nurturing wellness and sustainability through community and education. With a Master’s degree from Arizona State University in Gender, Religion, and Culture, Heather brings a deep understanding of how our values, beliefs, and practices shape both people and planet.
As Executive Director of the Sustenance Research Institute, Heather leads initiatives that inspire awareness in sustainability, science, and mindful living. Her mission: to empower communities—especially children—to care for themselves, one another, and the environment.
Heather is also a certified E-RYT 500® yoga instructor and Dean of Curriculum at Gilbert Yoga College, where she continues to guide students in the art of movement, mindfulness, and holistic living. Her teaching philosophy blends ancient wisdom with practical modern applications—helping people develop balance, resilience, and compassion in everyday life.
Previously, Heather expanded her mission to Taos, New Mexico, where she founded the Taos Yoga Festival, an event celebrating sustainability and the healing power of yoga amid the state’s breathtaking wilderness.
Today, back home in Arizona, Heather continues to weave her passion for health, education, and environmental stewardship into everything she does—encouraging others to live consciously and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
✨ Meet Heather P. Ricciardi at the Scottsdale Book Festival, where wellness, creativity, and community come together.
