Planning ahead makes all the difference — and we want your visit to the Scottsdale Book Festival to be easy, welcoming, and fun from the moment you arrive.
The festival takes place Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Scottsdale Civic Center, located at 7380 E. 2nd Street in downtown Scottsdale. This is a free, family-friendly, outdoor event, open to everyone.
Guests can expect clear wayfinding, helpful staff, accessible amenities, and plenty of space to explore. The festival grounds include permanent restrooms, shaded lawn areas, seating near stages, and an information booth for maps, lost and found, and general assistance.
Parking is free in surrounding downtown garages and surface lots, with accessible parking available in all designated areas. Rideshare and drop-off zones are clearly marked near the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, just steps from the festival entrance.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, certain items are not permitted, including weapons, drones, alcohol, pets, and motorized ride-on devices. Strollers, service animals, mobility devices, day bags, and compact blankets are welcome.
Because this is an outdoor event, we recommend bringing comfortable shoes, sun protection, and a bag for books and goodies. The festival takes place rain or shine, and any weather-related updates will be shared on the News page.
