Scottsdale Book Festival is just around the corner, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day unforgettable. From welcoming guests to supporting authors and families, our volunteers are the heartbeat of the festival — and we could really use your help.
Volunteering is a great way to experience the festival from the inside, connect with fellow book lovers, and be part of something joyful and community-driven. Whether you have a few hours or can stay for the day, we’ll match you with a role that fits your comfort level and schedule.
When & Where
- Saturday, January 24, 2026
- 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some roles begin earlier for setup and wrap-up)
- Scottsdale Civic Center
7380 E. 2nd Street, Scottsdale, AZ - Free • Family friendly • Outdoors in the round
Flexible Shifts
Choose what works best for you:
- 3-hour shifts
- Half-day (morning or afternoon)
- Full-day roles with breaks and rotation
Final shift assignments will be confirmed by email
Volunteer Roles Include
- Greeting guests and sharing festival info
- Helping visitors find stages, restrooms, and booths
- Supporting author signings and line flow
- Assisting in kids and family activity areas
- Helping vendors and Marketplace partners
- Light stage and program support
All roles are light-duty, outdoors, and training is provided.
What You’ll Get
- A brief orientation before your shift

- Breaks during longer shifts
